With numerous features including the largest UK diabetes forum, product reviews, recipe archive, diabetes directory and much more we need quite a team to run the show.

Above all else, people with diabetes contribute to Diabetes.co.uk. Whether it is leaving a comments, asking a question or giving an answer in the forum, or giving feedback about diabetes information - Diabetes.co.uk is principally authored by the diabetes community.

Meet the team

Currently, the Diabetes.co.uk team consists of contributors, news authors, diabetes experts, an editor for the site as a whole and the forum team:

Editorial Team
I am the Managing Editor
I am a creative development professional with an MA in Professional Writing and an employment background in the publishing industry. With a small team I helped to build Diabetes.co.uk into a resource, and spearheaded initiatives such as the Diabetes.co.uk forum and newsletter.
I am the Online Editor
I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 11. Having graduated in Mathematics at the University of St Andrews, I went on to work at Diabetes UK and, over the years, I've been able to see quite a wide variety of angles on diabetes. I help edit and create diabetes content and news.
I am the News Editor
Laurie is a professional journalist with experience in producing focused content for magazines, websites and books. Laurie feels it is his duty to sift through this digital maelstrom to find the most useful news for the diabetes community.
Forum Team
We are the heart of Diabetes.co.uk
The Forum Team composed of moderators and administrator do an invaluable job keeping the forum on track. The moderation team work constantly to provide answers, fight spam and keep the forum evolving and they are the true heroes of Diabetes.co.uk.

Sue is a published author, edits newsletters and contributes to nationally distributed magazines. She has had insulin-dependent diabetes since the age of five and is attracting Hollywood with her diabetes product guide videos.

Dr. Jen Nash is a Clinical Psychologist who has been living with type 1 diabetes since childhood. She publishes a free email newsletter full of tips about how to manage the psychological side of diabetes. She writes for national diabetes charities and a training consultant to the NHS.
HCP expert
Jim Young is a freelance medical writer and the author of our healthcare professionals' weekly news. He is Editor-in-chief of Glycosmedia, which supplies diabetes news, and an editor of DS Daily which supplies drug and alcohol news.
