Daniel writes guides, features and daily news articles for the diabetes community, focusing on news stories that are topical for people with diabetes in the UK.However, international diabetes news is not ignored and news about breakthrough diabetes research and innovations from around the world are often reported on.
As a professional journalist, Daniel has extensive contacts in the diabetes industry and liaises frequently with news agencies and media agencies to break stories before they hit national news.
Laurie Donaldson

Laurie Donaldson
Laurie is a professional journalist with experience in producing focused content for magazines, websites and books. He has been writing news stories for Diabetes.co.uk for a few months now, and is constantly amazed by the amount of information on diabetes there is out there, both good and bad.
He feels it is his duty to sift through this digital maelstrom to find the most useful news for the diabetes community. Laurie spent many years publishing other peoples’ words, but is happy to be now producing his own.
He enjoys cryptic crosswords, the crime novels of James Ellroy, coleslaw and bad horror films, but never at the same time.
Benedict Jephcote
Benedict is the Online Editor at Diabetes.co.uk. Benedict helps in the researching, composing and editing of news articles. He also researches areas of diabetes that aren't covered online and devises new areas of content - both social and textual.
Benedict himself is a type 1 diabetic who has had diabetes from a young age.
Hello - my name is Benedict and I am a type 1 diabetic and have been for about 18 years now. In my twenties, I didn't have the greatest control in the world but I found the Diabetes.co.uk Forum which was helpful in improving my overall diabetes control.
Since then, I've now joined as the Online Editor at Diabetes.co.uk and I'll be presenting a few videos; which I hope will be helpful.
