i am diabetic?

I keep having what i believe are hypo's. I feel very shaky and weak, sweating palms, heart rate speeds up, confused, and like i am going to collapse. Usually if i have a sugary drink or a chocolate bar i start to feel a little bit better after 10 minutes or so. But recently this is not working so well. I have had 2 blood tests in the past that have shown i am not diabetic and am currently awaiting the results of a 3rd blood test. I am morbidly obese. Is it possible to still be diabetic even if fasting blood tests are saying i am not? Are there other tests that can be done? Please help.

Welcome to the forum

anyone , diabetic or not can suffer from low blood sugar, if for example, you haven't eaten for a while.

Best bet is to see gp when the results of the latest test is back.

Hi fluffyjo,

Your doctor should have given you some indication what is causing these problems, or at least referred you to have a oral glucose tolerance test.

I would return to the GP and let them know that you are very concerned and the stress is not helping.
