Blood test

I have a blood test on Monday to see if my pre diabetes has got worst. I don't know if I should eat or not, I wasn't told to fast but surley it would male a differance. If I do eat should I eat a low carb meal or ordinary? Because if I eat a low carb that won't be a true reading or will it?

Do you have the blood test form? ie the form that comes with the polythene envelope on the back that your blood is sent off in. If so it should state on the front if they want you to fast, but i dont think they require Hba1c tests to be fasting these days so you should be ok to eat and drink beforehand!

I normally fast 12 hours before a fasting blood test. Make sure your app is in the morning. good luck
