It sounds like you have got the carb cravings back that you will have lost through low carbing. It's going to take determination not to keep eating. If you feel it's not going to be that easy, in your shoes I would tip all the biscuits in the bin.

Defren is right. Try the following: 1. Put biscuits in bin. 2. Cover them with rotting vegetables. 3. Now you have to kneel on the floor and pick your way through rotting vegetables to get to them. Contemplate the degradation that they have driven you to!
Or alternatively (less messy) but them inside a series of tupperware boxes of increasing size, so that you maximize the time that you can take to rethink what you're doing. Don't ask why I know that these techniques work....

Apart from having a binge surely once a week you could have a treat, the problems start when you eat like it everyday. It would give you something to look forward too don't you think. I don't mean having big bars of choclate and a packet of biscuits, but maybe a couple of biscuits or a small potion of Chinese what do you think?

It was my daughters birthday today, for tea we had, crustless tartlets, fruit and nut loaf, open sandwiches, and birthday cake. I made it all low carb. I had some of everything. My BG 2 hours later was 5.5. Have treats, but where possible make your own.
I wouldn't touch bought biscuits or Chinese, some people do. When I make my own food, I know what's in it!

How do you make low carb biscuits? I make my own food mostly and I make cakes and biscuits, but the only ones I make that are almost low carb are peanut butter. But I get fed up with cooking and sometimes it's nice to have a take-a-way Indian perhaps with rice and bread. Half a potion even.

The recipe is on the food forum, I only made cookies once, there was nothing wrong with them, that was the problem, they were too nice, and I had to give them to the family or I would have eaten too many. Another option is Google, just search for low carb cookies. I have recipe's from all over, once I try them I post them. I have a few I need to share now (once I find them).
That's the thing, we are all different, I have not had rice for eight months and shop bread for about 6 months and I will never eat it again. I don't tolerate carbs well, and am far too concerned about my health to risk it. Also, I love cooking and baking, so making my own LC food is not a chore but something I enjoy.

I used to be concerned by my 'all or nothing' personality, because when I would choose badly, it would end badly. Now I find it's really coming in handy.
Once I read about the health implications of grains, legumes, soy, etc., I don't even see that stuff when I go shopping - kind of like I no longer see the cigarettes. It's all the equivalent of rat poison in my mind, so I don't see anything tempting about it. If I look at that kind of food, I just picture a skull and crossbones in my mind, think 'toxic poison' and turn away. My own personal 'blinders' come in handy - I'd hate to go through life being constantly tempted by stuff I know is bad for me.

Can I ask what is wrong with Soy? I use soya flour quite often in cooking as a replacement for wheat flour and cause I don't really like nuts (so nut flours are out), and it never seems to hurt my levels. Please tell me it's not yet another thing I need to get rid of!
I don't know about in the UK, but in the USA, almost all soy is GMO - that's on top of all the other issues.
Among other things, it has an oestrogenic effect which can cause hormonal problems for both women and men. And a lot of countries are starting to ban soy formula as it's been implicated in all sorts of developmental issues in children given the formula. It's also very heavily processed to make it "edible" for humans. Animals fed too much soy get sick!
It has only ever been used as a condiment in Asian cooking, and mostly in fermented form. Certainly never consumed in any society to the levels it's been pushed in the West.
It's also been implicated in the whole "leaky gut" phenomenon that is sparking a lot of auto-immune diseases.
I'd suggest you do your own research and make up your own mind, but personally I won't touch the stuff.
