just wondered if we were still able to claim dla for our children.. I had to renew my claim in July and havent heard anything.....just wondered if it had been stopped due to government cuts etc :?:

Hi and welcome,
I know when i applied for my mothers DLA it took about 3/4 months, apparently there is a long wait, but you could give them a ring to see how much longer it will be.

I'd give it some more time if I were you. All areas of the benefits system have a huge backlog at the moment with the new changes and the overhaul of the way they do things etc etc.


I do agree with tracey though... give them a call to see how things are going and to make sure they have received your application/renewal. The last thing you need is to find out they haven't got it and nothing's happening at all... I've been there before! :roll:
