Brilliant news!
Good luck with the work, hope everything goes okay.

I've got my consultant meeting early December which will be just about 4 months after going onto insulin so hope she is happy with me and fills the form for DVLA in okay so I can get back to work on the coaches hopefully early next year.

Safe driving
Angie

Hi

Yes the hospital gave me a meter that they can download (as they couldn't from the ones I was previously using when I was classed as a type 2). Just got to behave myself between now and then!

well done d blundred it was a long time coming im still fighting for mine

Just a bit of advice for Angie it actually works the other way if you behave yourself and your blood drops below 4 they say your hypo-unaware that's what they did with me. so go the opposite way if you have high blood sugar although it wont do your health any good you stand a better chance of getting your licence back

Hi Mal,
Thanks for that. I do try and keep clear of 4's for that reason. That is what I meant when I said behave myself! I'm not so worried about getting some high figures, that's all part of the learning process, but I'm going to do my best to decide for myself when to stop work rather than have someone from DVLA tell me just cos I had a bit of an off day!
Good luck
