Hi all
I now have my Diabetes UK starter pack, spoke to a very nice lady in their office today, very constructive it was too. Meeting with someone from Town hall tomorrow to discuss a room for meetings. Hope to hold first meeting on 14th November (World Diabetes Day ) Now just got to get my posters distributed. Will keep all informed as to progress.

Have you contacted your local newspaper, perhaps they might run a little article for the new support group or at least put it in their 'what's on' section...

hi jopar
yes I spoke to a reporter yesterday and he said the paper will do a feature on diabetes. He will also come to the first meeting with a photographer. Thanks for your suggestion.

To follow-up Jo's excellent suggestion, have you thought about local radio giving your meeting a mention?

Just hope that after all the advertising you have a big enough room for the meeting

I have that in hand too. within the town hall there is a larger room i can use at short notice. I don't want to start limiting anyone from coming. the more the merrier.
