Cowboyjim, good post. I fully expect that the pharma co's will be along quick smart to rubbish that study.
I do though think that the days of statins are numbered, as I have said before they affect muscles badly and the heart is a great big muscle/pump, is it not !
I had a heart ransplant 18 years ago and suffered from statins for 2 of those years, depite desperate attempts by my consultant at Papworth to have me take them over the years.
The sample size of 100,000 does give the report a fair bit of clout unlike some of the disputed studies of 60 odd participants.
Heart transplant , Papworth 1994 , 19 years extra life so far !
No statins, chol 6.2 %, suits me, HBA1C 41 fine
