Interesting - I wonder what implications switching to an alkaline diet would have on this bacteria????

How can I kill the bacteria? That'd be 1.5kg off the scales tomorrow morning!

Hmmmm.....
they dont say whether high sugar levels are causing the high levels of hostile bacteria. Which is possible. So eating to our meters will prevent the high blood sugars which the bacteria feed off - which will, in turn, stop the overgrowth of bad bacteria.
I think

HbA1c 5.7 Dec 12
Type 2 lowish carb, highish fat diet

There are also studies about H.Pylori being present in many Type2s.
HPylori Bacteria Linked to Blood Sugar Control in Adult Type2.
http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/20 ... 124650.htmIt is easy to eradicate once a blood test has established that it is present. A course of antibiotics at a high dose and a further blood test to show that it has gone.
