My Newcastle Study Diet

Postby johnts » September 28th, 2011, 7:21 am

Started yesterday morning using Optislim after buying a 12 week pack plus 18 extra shakes which is a 8 week supply based on 3 shakes per day, direct from Optislim themselves deal on 99p per sachet and the pack included some meals aswell and fibre. took my fasting blood test at 08:00 and was 13.4 No Metformin taken since saturday and then was only half my usual daily intake of 4 x 500ml so had 2 pills
never tested throughout the day but started with
Day 1 27th sept Fasting BG 13.4
08:00 Banana shake in water 200ml.
12:00 Vanilla shake in water 200ml.
17:00 Chicken Soup 200ml

Must admit was very ravenish during the first day sleep was no problem just had a glass of water during the day

Mint choc is one of my least favourite shakes - it seems to have a different (worse) texture/consistency than the rest.

Yep looks like on stream for the weekly reading should be normal But being Type 2 for 6 years may not cure me but if not the lesson of food intake will make a difference for the future

Go for it, only problem was the first day was hunger pangs but drink plenty of water and thats sorted Best of luck with it youll do fine and when you see the results pretty quickly then it gives you the motivation to continue after all its only 8 weeks not 8 years and youll reap the benefits

I was ravenous and felt a bit cold for the first few days too. As you say, though - it's only 8 weeks.

Glad to hear that exersise seems ok. I want to carry on playing football whilst I'm on the diet. Day 2 for me, feeling a tad cold and like I'm walking on a boat but that will pass.

Bg of 4.8 2 hours post Slimfast shake. No Metformin since Wednesday night.

Just one thing. My daughter came home last night with KFC. Nothing has ever smelled so nice to me  Only another 7 weeks 5 days to go!

Cheers
