Jane Bowden graduated from LaTrobe University in Melbourne, Australia in 2002.
Jane's areas of clinical experience prior to specialising in diabetes involved burns and plastics and chronic disease management, specifically heart failure and diabetes.
Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education
After achieving a Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education in 2004, Jane went on to work at Baker IDI Heart and Diabetes Institute in Melbourne (formally the International Diabetes Institute) before moving to the United Kingdom in March 2010.
As a Credentialed Diabetes Educator and member of the Australian Diabetes Educators Association, Jane has presented at a National Diabetes Education conference on the effectiveness of chronic disease management programmes and assisted in coordinating a pump stabilisation program at Baker IDI.
Jane is interested in all aspects of diabetes, type 1, type 2 and gestational diabetes.
However, primarily, she has a special interest in type 1 diabetes and insulin pumps.
