Having read #EveryCloud ’s post, and so many more like it over the years on this forum, I wonder whether we could gather together examples of Healthcare Professionals who have told people that it is either unnecessary or just plain wrong to test their blood sugars. I have a GlucoLab meter, and I&#039;ve recently run into a problem with my testing strips: I&#039;ve been given some packs with the code `C1` on the tubs, the strips themselves have black squares on the back, and my meter does not like them! I&#039;d never really noticed before, but it seems I&#039;ve been using `C49` coded strips up to now, with blue squares on the back, which work fine, but when I put in a `C1` strip, the meter gives me an `ERR6` and refuses to work. The meter claims to be &#039;Auto-Coding&#039;...<br />

I posted a while ago about my boyfriend having high sugar levels in the morning, we&#039;ve moved house twice since (house flooded, big storm, long story) and I can&#039;t find the post so can&#039;t thank everyone for their input!<br />
<br />
It&#039;s still an issue, we tried changing the basal insulin but he&#039;ll go to bed on a steady 6 but can wake up anywhere between 11-20. We&#039;re literally lost at what to do, his vision the following day is not good and is worried sick about having high levels. <br />

Upon diagnosis I was put immediately on standard Met, which gave me so many problems (constant toilet runs, bloating to the point of pain, nausea, horrendous cramps, etc). I&#039;ve finally got a sympathetic Dr to put me on slow release Met, only to find its actually worse! Anyone else had this and, if so, did you get prescribed anything else instead? Not sure how much longer I can deal with feeling...<br />

I have to go for surgery soon and been told no food 12 hours before....but I do get high and low bloods especially around the 3am time.....i am so worried what to do as the anesthatis say this is something I have to try and get balanced..<br />
