      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Not diabeties related but my dads driving can be a bit stupid sometimes like using his mobile when driving (only for texting) and he especially does it when stopped at traffic ques or lights.  I&#039;ve tried telling him to stop it and that&#039;s when he just brushes it off. I&#039;m actually suprised he&#039;s never been caught by police. I have taken the insulin 3 hours ago now but am wondering how high is too high to drive? I do not get lows below 4.0 in part because I fear them and eat enough to keep my blood glucose higher. I have read many postings here and all seem to deal with lows but surely there is a cutoff for highs as well? I read the UK regulation for insulin users to test at least twice a day and not...<br />

I mainly use my libre and am aiming to pass my test in December so do I need to start doing tests again? This is the first renewal of a 3 year licence that I have had to do.  I of course have the odd hypo but never whilst driving and never needing assistance.  Like everybody else, you test, correct and get on with life.<br />

He said if you are admitted to hospital with a hypo the dvla will take your driving licence off you even if its the first time it has happened. Can anyone confirm this.
