I&#039;m 19w4d and was diagnosed with GD at 17w5d after glycosuria at 16w1d. Midwives and doctors are very concerned as I&#039;m so early on. I haven&#039;t been able to control my bloods by diet and exercise at all, and started metformin this past Tuesday at 18w6d. They are expecting to see me again this coming Tuesday at 19w6d to discuss insulin.<br />

I was diagnosed last week with GD, I am 22+4. So far I have been managing well, but am struggling with breakfast cereals. I don&#039;t have time in the morning to cook myself things like eggs on toast etc, as I&#039;m out early.<br />
I&#039;ve tried Bran flakes and Crunchy bran which both give me post readings of between 8.4-8.6, I had toast and marmite which gave me a reading of 7.9. Tomorrow I plan on trying porridge, to see if it makes a difference. I was wondering if anyone had found a cereal that...<br />

My daughter in law has a 2 year old daughter who, because my daughter in law is quite small (from Thailand) was born via  Cesarean section.<br />

I had my level tested in hospital today after lunch and it was 3.6. I had a tuna mayo and sweetcorn sandwhich on brown bread, a bottle of water and I had to have 2 of my son&#039;s animal biscuits because I was about to pass out! I&#039;m almost 18 weeks pregnant and was diagnosed with GD at 14w. I had it with my last pregnancy and was diet controlled (but didn&#039;t find out till far later on in pg that time as had a routine GTT rather than an early one). <br />

I&#039;ve been OK at my mealtime control (few blips here and there, but for understandable reasons), generally readings starting 5, 6 and 7.<br />
