      <title>GP wants me off lixisentide and on insulin</title>

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I&#039;ve been on lixesentide now for about three or more years. Initially before I was put on it, I couldn&#039;t get my hba1c to below 11.6. This had just been approved and the diabetic clinic tested me on it.  I only get nausea in the morning g when I first inject, otherwise my hba1c came down to 6.5 and now its at about 7.5.  However my gp now wants me off it ,  even though my experience has been good, and he comes across as an arse when it comes to ignorance with diabetes.   I have three nonbths...<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I started taking trulicity 4 weeks ago along with my humulin. A side effect of trulicity is weight loss which I need!  I am not really losing weight due to taking steroids (which made my diabets worse) as well as taking insulin. This is really frustrating as I am hardly eating anything and have little or no appetite.  I make myself eat a little breakfast so that I can take my medications and inject insulin. I then don&#039;t eat until dinner and only manage a few mouthfuls.  Do any of you have...<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Has anyone had any information about Victoza from their health care team? The doctor on this morning was very enthusiastic about it&#039;s use by type 2s instead of insulin.<br />
<br />
Looking at the cost of about £78.50 per month and only 1 injection and probably 2-3 test strips per day I think it would be more economical than two types of insulin, 4-5 needles per day and 8-10 test strips per day.<br />
<br />
Unfortunately my Dr is away at the moment but I intend to see him asap to discuss the possibility of using...<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I started Byetta yesterday. Had my first injection at 12.30pm yesterday, ate at 1.30. It got to 3.45 and I started to get awful pains in my tummy. Half an hour later I couldn&#039;t stop being sick and was actually sick about 8 or 9 times. The pains in my tummy were coming in none stop waves and it got to the point where I was nearly crying. 2 hours later the pains and sickness had stopped. Rang the gp and thought I had had a bad reaction. Going to try again today to see what happens. Anybody...<br />

I saw my endocrinologist a few weeks ago after my initial appointment where my bloods were terrible, second appointment after low carb and looking after myself a lot better- I&#039;d lost weight and massively dropped my blood sugars!<br />

She recommended putting me on lixisenatide, I started last week and I was just wondering if anyone else has been put on it? I&#039;ve been told it helps you lose weight as long as you put the work into it as well?<br />

My blood sugar level seems to be up and down and all over the place. I&#039;ve had more hypos and hypers than I could shake a Lyxumia pen at. I thought this thing was supposed to level my blood sugar out, but it seems to be doing the opposite.<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Please can someone let me know how long its takes for Blood sugars to stabilize after starting Victoza, this is the start of my 3rd week, I have been on 0.6 then last week 1.2 and from yesterday I am injecting 1.8mg, but my sugars are going up, from the normal for me of 7 to 9 mmol to most recent today of 11.5 to 14 mmol these are upon waking and before evening meal.<br />

I am very worried I have taken the wrong move, and stopped Sitagliptin and Invokana, as these are the ones which were keeping...<br />

Anyway, I was wondering if any of you guys  were prescribed victoza whilst taking meds for gastric reflux?<br />
<br />
I&#039;m still taking 2g of metformin and 320mgs gliclazide daily, but my bg  is still way too high so the victoza has been added today. Reading through the leaflet, I saw that reflux can be a side effect.<br />
<br />
Would really be grateful for some advice.<br />

I&#039;m type 2 and up until last summer I&#039;ve had my diabetes well under control, even managing to come off my tablets for two years after losing 3 stone.  My sugars started creeping up again though and I was put back on metformin 2 years ago.  Last year they added Gliclaside and which has done nothing but make me gain most of my weight back.  I&#039;m very worried about the possible side effects of Victoza as I&#039;ve heard it can make you very sick...<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[My DN switched me onto bydureon a couple of weeks ago from sitagliptin/forxiga as my Ac1 levels were around 8 with a fasting level of about 9. Ive not changed any of my eating habits,  in fact I&#039;m probably eating less and better, but my fasting levels are now around 13! And nit dropping below 9 during the day. How long does it usually take for<br />
the bydureon to kick in? Or should I be heading back to the surgery pronto with my concerns<br />
