      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I&#039;ve been on Quietapine for quite a long time (used for my high anxiety and bipolar)  and 2 of my GPS agree that it probably contributed to my type 2 diabetes diagnosis.  I have researched the drug and I have found that it does in-fact increase my blood sugar and prevent me from feeling like my hunger is satiated.  Now I that I have my blood sugar under great control and I am doing great with my low carb diet I am looking to improve on the medication I take daily so see if there are other...<br />

<br />
Two to keep my blood pressure under control, two doses of steroid (which is why I&#039;m T2 as I&#039;ve been on them for many years),One times 4 twice a day to keep my transplanted liver from going off, the obligatory daily aspirin and yes I&#039;m still taking a statin.  Also I take Gliclazide for my T2 Along with these you may be suprised to know that I take an anti depressant as well. A couple of hefty painkillers top off the list.<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I hear a lot about the side effects of statins - chiefly digestive and muscle issues.  Of course there is also the main issue of interfering in a beneficial body system.<br />
However, I see increasing references to other side effects, like decreased platelets, decreased B12, raised blood sugar, which are not on the published data.<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[A study in the Lancet has concluded that patients suffer side effects from statins due to a &#039;nocebo&#039; effect. They experience them because they expect them.<br />
<br />
They are calling for the side effects NOT to be listed due to this.<br />
<br />
The study compared a dosage of 10mg of Atorvastatin vs a placebo where the rate of muscle aches and pains reported was the same for both arms of the trial.<br />

My first thought was that 10mg of Atorvastatin was only a very small dosage....<br />

After an evaluation at a psychiatrist, I got described to take Cymbalta Duloxetine 30 mg for my depression, OCD. Cymbalta Duloxetine has worked fine for me in the past during a 6 month period. <br />

So I am a type 1 diabetic have been for 5 years so I had my little girl by c section few months ago and really struggling to get rid of mummy tummy, I am a dancer so am normally quite slim but since having my baby I have put on quite bit of weight obviously being type 1 doesn&#039;t help either.<br />
I was looking at taking raspberry ketones but don&#039;t want to take them if they are not safe for type 1 does anyone have any advise on them or shed some light to help. Many thanks jemma x<br />
