This assumes you already know when your meals tend to spike you worst which could be any 15 minute increment from 1 to 2 hours.       <content:encoded><![CDATA[Hi - have just recently been prescribed the above to use in conjunction with Metformin, Novorapid and Levemir.<br />

I understand the basic principles of this, but am wondering how long after starting treatment I should notice any benefits as, to be honest, I am almost a week in and all it has done is send me to the loo about 9 times a night (daytime is not much different to how it was, perhaps one or two more visits), made me tired and irritable, and given me an almost constant headache.<br />

I have started to notice that I get extremely tired by bedtime , while I do have a long day and a baby to look after and work which would naturally make very tired, I&#039;m noticing it&#039;s more like I&#039;m knock out and a bit drugged up tired.<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Since January I have returned to training approx 1/2 hour cardio on a static bike and  other 1/2 hour weights and stretches. Along with this I lowered carbs and increased proteins and good fats.<br />
At the start I was taking 3 Metformin and 1 Glicicde.<br />
I stopped the glicicide first then swapped the Metformin on the last meal for 1mg creatine.<br />
I then replace the last two Metformin with creatine also.<br />

I don&#039;t recall the reason but my doctor decided to put me on the timed release version and I experienced climbing BS which at one point around Christmas reached numbers in the mid to upper teens 14-19. However, Byetta did not help me lose the weight that the insulin has put on and I felt unwell most of the day so stopped the Byetta 8th August and then my bgs started rising.  Two weeks ago my DSN started me on Sitagliptin 100mg which I have been taking early evening after my meal.  So far I have not had any improvement in my numbers and am wondering if this is normal or whether the Sitagliptin is not working for me??...<br />
