I&#039;m new to this forum so please excuse me whilst I get the grip of things!<br />

As the title says my baby is measuring big. I&#039;m 33 weeks pregnant however my little bundle is measuring in around 36/37 weeks and is 5.9lbs. I&#039;m type 1 diabetic since childhood so I&#039;ve always known I&#039;ll be brought in a little earlier than normal (38/39 weeks). However I was shocked today... I say shocked as in near fell off the chair!! because the doctor was going to bring me in this week to have...<br />

Hoping someone can shed some light on their thoughts on correction doses.<br />
At the moment I am seeing a diabetic nurse weekly to tighten my blood sugar levels after meals and first thing in the morning.<br />
Recently, she asked me to decrease my background insulin from 27 units to 24 units and today I have woken up with a fasting reading of 10.5 whereas before I have been between 3.7 and 4.7 everyday. <br />
I tried a correction dose with my breakfast insulin dose as my diabetic nurse has...<br />

So as the title of this thread suggests...I&#039;d really like a baby! My hubby and I have always talked about having kids but we are now at that stage where we really want a family and it&#039;s all I can think about. <br />

I know being Diabetic that you&#039;ve got to be really careful when trying for a baby, hence why we haven&#039;t actually started trying yet. <br />

she is now 11 days old and i have been breastfeeding her since birth.<br />
my milk supply has been very good since feeding but today i have literally had high blood sugars all day and it seems like my milk supply has decreased drastically! i&#039;m really worried, is this normal or could it be something else affecting my supply?<br />

I am currently 8 weeks pregnant and I&#039;m seeing a weird trend this last 7 days as I have a Libre. My evening readings after tea seem to stay within target for the hour or 2 after eating and then slowly climb. I&#039;m going to bed with readings of 6-8mmol instead of 5s from a week or so ago. I&#039;ve adjusted my ratio from 0.4 per 10g to 0.7 per 10g and it&#039;s making no difference. Over night I always come down to 4s so my dose must be correct but I don&#039;t understand the slow climb. <br />

I&#039;ve been reading up on Alpha Lipoic Acid and its benefits for diabetes. I was wondering if anyone took this and whether it was safe to take during pregnancy? (I&#039;m not pregnant yet but am ttc). I&#039;ve left my DSN a message about it but wondered if anyone had any experience of it. I am currently 28 weeks pregnant. Everything has been good so far (touch wood) <br />
My consultant has said we will discuss a birth plan at 32 weeks but has always said I won&#039;t be left till 38 weeks due to being on medication for blood pressure and type one.<br />
My question to you is how did you choose between induction or c section and what factors made you choose what you did? <br />
I think I want a c section, as I don&#039;t want to be left for days trying to bring on labour at 37...<br />
