What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Exactly what we said.....it's a discussion........that's exactly what we are doing...... :? As for discussing anything with my mate ND.......not much point really unless you want to see new threads all over the place. We will leave you all in peace......... :D

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Ebony, and anybody else who is getting in a 'tiz' about this......... This IS a discussion area...... ergo we discuss things, we ask questions, we answer questions. We have a conversation. One member likened it to sitting round a table having coffee, tea and a chat. Well in my chats...

    Sugar or fat or both?

Very interesting read CC........ I think it just goes to show that an excess of ANYTHING in our diet, be it Fat or Sugar can be bad for you.......I wonder what my pal Dr J would make of it........

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Precisely....why on earth you thought it needed a new thread for a simple question about what you, as a US Citizen thought of the differing guidelines was all I asked. A few lines as here would have sufficed. I too think that the UK NICE guidelines are fine for people to get some sort of...

A comparison of the guidelines for control; NICE, ADA, etc.

Re: A comparison of the guidelines for control; NICE, ADA, e Erm.....I asked a very simple question...... which really only needed a short answer from ND, NOT a completely new thread ! I wasn't looking for a lecture about the ADA guidelines, or NICE for that matter....just how did they...

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Blimey ND ! I asked you a simple question - why do you feel the need to start a new thread ? Many threads start off and often other subjects are raised or comments made, questions asked etc. We are going to end up with an awful lot of unnecessary additional threads if you can't answer a point...

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

The problem with posting your own meal results is that everybody is different.....so just because one person can eat some Rice or some Bread without too much of a problem that doesn't mean that everybody can....... :( If I post my meal ingredients here and give MY levels before and after meals...

    Does diabetes have ears?

Good to see that you are improving your levels Anna.....still work in progress though ? Keep at it. Did you have any breakfast between the fasting level of 8.2 mmol/l or not. Diabetic's should really eat regularly, even if only a small snack at times. Missing a breakfast doesn't help your...

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

I've been reading the posts here for a while now and whilst it's interesting to see what levels people have when they wake up I really don't see what the point is other than the 'feelgood' factor for people ? A fasting level, whether in the morning when waking or pre-meals is just that an...

Question to members about contributions from Professionals

Re: Question to members about contributions from Professiona I quite agree ! The daft thing is that that was what my pal Sue and I fought to maintain on here. Sue for over 4 years and me for over 2 yrs. In the main we succeeded with the backing of the then Administrator and endured much...

Question to members about contributions from Professionals

Re: Question to members about contributions from Professiona I too expect 'professionals' to behave in that way, not be pompous, insulting and arrogant ! Treat people as you find them me........like it or not....... I have given 'professionals' the benefit of my advice when they treated me...
