Hello, Freema, thanks for the 'like' on my last post. I tested just after writing it and my BG was up at 9.9 - I hadn't eaten anything since my well documented lunch! How do you calculate and count all the carbs and protein you eat? I think I might as well go on a starvation diet to get the figures down.

I use lifesum on my iPhone , its an APP and you can both scan the kind and amount of food in it, but also look the kind of food up on that APP ,and also by writing the name of the food get some choices... there are other APPs for phones and also some good programes on the internet, but there you must aks in the forum to get som hints and adresses and names..

in my APP I have a day to day side in which I can put my eaten foods and the amount, and also have pre-programmed which is easy , how much protein and carbs and fats and overall calories I do aim for every day

iPhone apps.....oh dear! I'm 63 in a matter of days and I make a conscious efforts to avoid most phone apps, Facebook, those odd places where people constantly publish pictures of themselves, and Twitter is only there for me to check the progress of my football club. Social networking seems, to me, to be anything but! I think I'll stick to hopeful guesswork. It seems to work in my favour, if only a little.
