I found stevia sugar very helpful...go easy its very sweet.....i cut it out altogether now but occasionally i find my black coffeee gets bitter so i tried some coffeee flavourings vanilla etc which just give that little sweet taste when i need it

Amazing how many type 1s are actually type 2s....i think many genuine type 1 members on here would love to cut insulin completely. ..but they cant..as weve been reminded before type 1 is not the same as type 2..but well done anyway

Once you have the 3 months readings and the dvla have heard from your doctoror consultant its plain sailing as long as you dont have any hypos that need help from others....dont miss any days readings even on your day off

Latest hba1c result of 50 , risen slightly from 37 but ive had less (self inflicted ) hypos. Cholesterol level 3.4, so going well

Its all a bit trial and error..finding what works best for you...really we are all on our own dealing with it but obviously tips and advice from others on here can help. I think those guys on diet only control must have a tough time ...thosetaking medicines are gettin that extra help .. try...

Probably money...ive seen posts on here saying gp practises get extra funds if patients are pre diabetic...easy way for them to up thier income by putting patients in that category. .
