Nice. I don't think breakfast is best time due to other factors around waking. I test before and 2.5 hours after main meal, or new food. I bet the 6.2 comes down by 10pm.

Starting to regret the purchase now. Tonight I had a Tuna salad from Aldi at 7pm because it was quick and easy and low in sugar. I thought I would test one more time before bed at 10.30 and it was 12.4. Making me paranoid now...lesson to self, make your own salad tomorrow :-(
I am buying a meter today and would appreciate any help on what to buy ?

I'm late - you've probably bought one. I was going to recommend the one I use which is a One Touch Verio...I got mine free due to other health issues. Amazon sells it for about £20 but strips are expensive at about £18 for 50. Some recommend the SD Codefree...its possibly the cheapest (but certainly seems to do the job) about £13 and the strips are about £8 or so for 50. I'm too late, yeah?

Yes I bought one on Tuesday but I was too nervous until today to use it. I have the Accu-Chek Mobile that uses no strips, just cassettes with 50 tests. Not sure how much the cassettes are but hey ho as it wasn't too expensive. After breakfast today I started reading instructions and 1 hour later with Dutch courage I was 9.1 ! :-(
Why are people eating yoghurt when we are told to to limit Milk. Yes I am new to this so please excuse me !
First I was afraid, I was petrified.... time to get the sugar to walk out the door...it's not welcome any more :-(
