Being a bit less obsessed with my testing and less strict with my diet these days but still managing reasonable levels.

A bit dud. Levels up due to complications with transplant and infection. Had been under 7mmols too! I think it's what's called a setback.

Despite sneaking in the odd croissant or pain chocolat in the am, my latest HbA1c is still 43 as it was 6 months ago. Nice.

both as a result of their disease and then compounded by the chemotherapy they have to take. So the early antibiotic thing is close to my heart. I should have used that as my example and not your situation - I really do feel bad for making you angry. I promise that was never my intention - I have HUGE respect for you.

Hi LinsT...please, please don't give it any kind of thought; I wasn't havin a great day and should know better. I wasn't angry...I was irritable. Also, words in such context don't come with faces or emotions (yours or mine). Take care.

I'd ask Santa for lower BS, but he only exists as a corruption of pagan deities used to sell goods to homo consumerus. What?.

I would be very interested in knowing how the bitter melon pans out. I tried it a few weeks ago but it did not seems to make a difference; maybe I needed to take it for a longer time than I did.

Diagnosed with Type 2 several months after a kidney transplant, and as a consequence of steroid and anti-rejection drugs.
Levels improved after stopping pills and focusing on low carb diet instead.

I am currently not working and don't expect to be any time soon. Degrees in Classics and Law don't seem to count if you are 53! I am, however, still writing...one day...one day...
