    Regular moderate exercise log

Oh I love the Regent’s Canal. I used to cycle from Islington to the park every weeken with my son (and the zoo sometimes, which he loved) when he was small. And for a couple of years I used to cycle the other direction to work in Whitechapel. In the winter there’d be herons and the like on the ice.

    Regular moderate exercise log

So yesterday my evening walk took me up to 13,666 steps. I was a bit surprised. Especially because I did Week 5, run 1 of C25K today and it only came to 5,714 steps. Anyway, it certainly got the heart beating!

    Can Body Reject Insulin

If it’s working sometimes then it’s probably not the insulin per se that’s the problem. You might be having a bout of insulin resistance when it seems not to be working. Insulin resistance can be caused by diet (eating high fat and carbs together, for example), being overweight, being...

    Slurred Speech??!

Slurred speech can be a symptom of hypothyroidism which often co-occurs with T1. You should have a blood test. And don't worry about it. I've had it for 42 years (diabetes for 50) and its just a small tablet every day. (I never understand why people whinge about such small things! They should...

    Dodgy insulin pens

I agree this is probably a needle failure. Change the needle and try again. Insulin can actually dry up and block the needle. Are you changing your needles every time?
