this is the post. Cannot fathom why it went missing, apologies.

My last fasting was done a month ago and was 5.8. I'm ok with that as I'm lucky to hold an HGV licence and always watch to make sure I don't have LOW figures. I generally make sure my BS is slightly higher in the mornings so I can get on with my daily drive. I also carry a bag of humbugs or similar just to pick me up through the morning. I do feel lucky to hold an HGV licence as there's not many of us due to our DVLA rules and Regs. The medical is tough on us. I know someone who is not diabetic and has been through hell recently due to the communications of the DVLA and his Dr. First DVLA wouldn't except he had 20/20 vision then his blood pressure was too high. He had to have a blood pressure monitor attached to him for 24hrs and it read his pressure every 1/2 hr. He's passed and will get his licence back shortly.
