Good morning. I have had my daily gliclazide replaced by Alogliptin following my latest review.
Does anyone have any advice on taking it or results since taking it?
Thanks.

Hello Paul

I have been on Alogliptin for about a year now, plus a low dose of Metformin (I cannot tolerate higher doses). The Alogliptin has reduced my levels quite a bit, though I have a way to go. I haven't had any problems with the Alogliptin - I seem to tolerate it well.

If you don't have the information leaflet that will give you the effects you might get, you can Google it, Wikipedia is usually quite good for a non scientific read.

Gliptin, will reduce your blood glucose levels slowly, be aware of not going too low.
If this happens, consult your GP!

I have been taking another gliptin for over two years and have no side effects.
