So I quit the fags 24hrs ago. Moved onto an electronic ciggy, and I have to say I'm not struggling! These e-ciga are great! Am I correct in assumming that it is Tar and Carbon Monoxide that cause the diabetic/circulation complications rather than the nicotine?
Well done, although I'd be looking to use e-cigs as a temporary measure.
You've ditched a lot of the nasty chemicals, which has got to be better for you, but nicotine simulates production of stress hormones which are thought to be responsible for inflammation in the arteries.
My plan is to gradually cut down the strength of liquid til I'm no longer dependent on nicotene. Believe me, I have tried everything else, but to no avail. Me giving up for a week is a f&*king miracle!
Another thing I think I read somewhere, is that nicotine causes insulin resistance. Doe's that mean, I will start needing less insulin as I cut down on nicotine?
