Ok so I have just started trying to lose some weight and have pretty much cut the amount of food I consume in a day by half if not more.

Problem is since I have I now am getting indigestion style pains and pains further down on my left side?

Is this normal to have pains (and its not just feeling hungry although my wife did question this) when you first start losing weight?

I think any pain should be investigated by the doctor if it continues.

People who interrupt you when you're talking and people who won't listen.
I have in the past and always assumed it was because your body shape changes so the forces applied to/by certain muscles is different. If that's the cause it should clear up as muscle strength improves. I mentioned my pains to a physio at work and she gave me some strengthening exercises which did work but I didn't see a benefit for 3-4 weeks. If its really painful or lasts a while...or if you're otherwise concerned I'd see a doctor.
