Guess wot?

Pulled pork.

We're off on hol on Friday so I'm going to have to freeze about 1/3 of it. It's lush.
Something to look forward to for our return.

I'm trying beef brisket next.

(And don't worry - there's going to be wifi where we're staying. So you won't be rid of me that easily)

I have to say, I hadn't considered brisket, but it's a perfect cut for the method. This afternoon I drove past an ad for MacDonalds, who are doing a pulled chicken sandwich. As a concept, rather than sticking to the sandwich idea, I rather fancy it, so I'll give it a whirl.

The jellies were 3 for £1 in Sainsbury's so I bought half a dozen. I normally just scoff them out of the pot but the cream transforms it into proper dessert.

Back in the days when I still ate sticky barbecue sauce I was given an astonishingly good recipe for 'pulled' chicken.

Bung your whole chicken in the slow cooker on a layer of chopped onion.
Pour a jar of sticky barbecue sauce over it.
Switch on.
Switch off, 6-8 hours later.
Allow to cool.
Pull the bones out (takes 2 mins, because the meat is melting off)
Stir/shred the bigger chunks of meat.
Voila! Shredded barbecue chicken.

There really isn't any need to add water or stock, but the slow cooker must be on the low setting!
I suppose you could do it with mustard. Or any LC chicken sauce.

That jelly looks cool. So, did you turn out the jelly? Didn't know that could be done.
Yes, I put the pot in a pan of hot water, just long enough to unstick the jelly from the pot

I think you may need help for your ketchup addiction.

For a meeting with an agent, we went to this restaurant and I had green tea latte and ate fish with carrot curry and tapioca. After two hours I felt shaky and very weak. My blood sugar was 5.1 so I'm not hypo. Does green tea make you feel weak and shaky? Or is it because of the tapioca? Or am I just over analyzing?:)

Oh dear.

Had you been hitting the caffeine at all? i find caffeine makes me feel more wobbly than anything else. Did you check the 5.1, or accept it as true? I know you can comfortably run much lower than that.

I hope you feel better.
