They write and sell these books because you can fool some people all of the time andit makes them money and the disclaimer makes sure they've covered their backsides.

So if a shop sold the Bible or the Koran, should they include a disclaimer?
They could, however disclaimers may be ruled unenforceable depending what the liability case etc; is all about.
We are in a crazy world these days.

Unfriendly and bigotted persons; i.e. persons who do not have an open or enquiring mind - but all within reason - persons may have a reason to appear as such - we will never know their backgrounds or where they come from ...

Squrie Fulwood, I am a very meek person, but I certainly think you stretch your point here.

I get a lot of spam type emails regarding diabetic "cures" - they are deleted unread. Although I agree that we can eventually get a built in radar about spam, false claims, etc , there there still remain some who are gullible.

Of course I did. I agree with you. It is always a good idea to explore a proposition in order to find out where it might take you when used to extreme.

Out of respect for Annelise's wishes I will stop there.

It's that Izzzi's fault.

This is a despicable scam.
There is a book by a so called Dr Kenneth Pullman who claims his Protocol can cure diabetes when we all know there is no cure yet. It is so obvious he is not who he says he is as a genuine medical doctor would not make this claim Google him and nothing comes up about where he gained the medical qualifications he says he has or the places he says he has worked. Every link takes you to his web site where he sells the book and the only reviews that can be found from people who say it has worked for them are only on his own web site so made up by him presumably His book is only available to download from his web site.... not even a hard copy. This advert appears almost daily on the Yahoo home page headed something like Breakthrough for Diabetes Cure but it does vary This unscrupulous man whoever he is is preying on vunerable people who may just believe him and he should not be allowed to advertise medical claims that are not true. I did make a complaint to Yahoo but did not get any response from them

It is million pound empire yet every diet book tells a different story.
Even one member got confused claiming one of these authors was a Diabetic Specialist.( not with bad intent )
I wonder if any members Doctor has actually recommend a diet book that will help them with their diabetes.
Thanks @AnnieC regarding yet another scam.:yuck:
