Hello everyone sorry I haven't introduced myself yet. I have type 2 diabetes was diagnosed in June.
I have an immediate question for tonight..I can't tell if I have a hypo or hyper and don't want to go to bed, wondering if I should eat a sweet or drink water, I,m confused. My main symptom is keep feeling hungry even though I've eaten. have a tingly feeling in my face. Can anyone advise please?

you will be fine, it's only those that take insulin or other hypo inducing drugs have to worry.;..go to bed, but it sounds like you ate too much carb with your tea.
we can work on your diet tomorrow

What were your diagnosis blood sugar levels? Do you have a test meter?

Thank you sanguine, I slept well once I got to bed thanks. My last reading was 6.5, no I don't have a test meter.

Jack thanks for your post last night, guess I was panicking . It helped not feeling so alone.
glad it helped a bit, it's scarey stuff till you get your head around it...as I said, we'll work on your diet and it all revolves aroung not eating much carbs

Most of us consider a meter to be essential to assess how we react to different foods. Many go for the SD Codefree because the strips are relatively cheap at around £7 per 50.
