it actually worried me that 2g net carbs could do this as well given the question about the ingredients
My primary objective was to se if this supplier could be trusted and it worried me

Nutritional info
  • Carbs / serving: 2g
  • Cals / serving: 120
  • Protein / serving: 14g
  • Serving Size: 1 bagel
  • Servings: 6
  • per 100g
  • Energy: 240Kcal
  • Fat: 0g
  • of which saturates: 0g
  • Total Carbohydrates: 32g
  • of which sugars: 0g
  • of which sugar alcohols: 0g
  • Fibre: 28g
  • Protein: 28g
Am I missing something here, Total Carbohydrates: 32g 6 bagels 32 divided by 6 = 5.3 carb. Sorry if I have this wrong:oops:

Just butter I did it as a test
If you had added some protein I expect you would have had a different result.

People can eat Burgen bread as part of a meal but a buttered slice of it will often raise their blood sugars. A slice of toast will get a different result than a slice of toast with a poached egg on top.
Your numbers are nothing to worry about and if you are going to stress about it then the stress will probably push your numbers up even higher.

For the sake of it i repeated the test today
woke up and eat ONE 2g net carb roll toasted with butter

Today:
Baseline Fasting=5.0 - after 1 Hour=6.4 - after 2 hours=6.0 - after 3 hours=5.7

Yesterday:
Baseline Fasting=5.2 - after 1 Hour=6.7 - after 2 hours=6.4 - after 3 hours=6.1

Even though these numbers are not bad im still surprised in the jump in BS after such a small roll
Maybe I cant trust the supplier - who knows and Im not sure I even care now hehe
shame though as I had high hopes for http://www.carblife.co.uk/

Cheers for all the comments :¬)

Did you enjoy it? If so I can't see you have much to worry about.
