Well everybody else is having a good day so I see no reason to upset the apple cart

Pre breakfast 6.9, 1.5hrs after 8.2 (my mistake doing it at 1.5hrs but I was going out so would not of been able to do 2hrs anyway)
Pre lunch 5.3, 2hrs after 5.0
Pre evening meal 5.2 2hrs after 5.7

Have to be honest I thought after the breakfast reading it was going to go all down hill, but some how I held it all together, I celebrated with a home made mince pie, good job I am not testing again until breakfast tomorrow!!

So pleased for you Nuthead. Especially the "all clear so far" with the cancer. I know exactly how much weight that takes off your shoulders. I am having my 2 year mammogram and check up in January to see if I am still in the clear. Nervous times ahead for me.

5.3 before tea (homemade meat and potato pie, just a bit of pastry, glass of wine)

Interesting .. usually higher reading after that breakfast, though usually have cow's or soy milk. Have wondered for a while if cow's milk give sme a bit of a spike as I get the same reading after yogurt, berries & nuts as I do after muesli, milk and fruit. Could be the coffee giving me a big spike? Words of wisdom please

Milk and caffeine can raise levels in some people. Milk is full of natural sugar, and semi skimmed or skimmed both have added sugar. Try cream in your coffee next time (no carbs in cream and it tastes better too)
I notice you took a reading within half an hour of drinking the coffee, so that is most likely the reason. Half an hour is a bit soon because everyone would see some sort of spike in that time.
