Hi all.

Is it possible to get neuerothapy in hands before feet? Washing up today I didn't feel the heat of the water until it splashed on my wrist. Now I'm worrying

I guess it is possible. Have you ever washed up with your feet? Have you had anything like walking on stones etc?

Hi all, I'm still worry about this.
My BG isn't particularly high, my hba1c is 43 (6.1) and I was only diagnosed in June (hba1c was 139).

Now within the last couple of weeks my feet started with the burning sensation a little, but more noticeably is my hands. It's like the feeling when u go from being really cold outside to coming into a hot room.

Is this is for me now? Will I have it forever or will it get worse? It's got bad quite quickly so worried about where it will stop! What does it mean for my health aside from just the feeling?

As has been said in other topics, it's possible it is the nerves reawakening. For the length of time you've been diagnosed, and however long it was beforehand, I'd be really surprised if you had already developed neuropathy.

If you are really bothered about it, your best bet is to book in to see a specialist. It won't hurt, even if they say nothing is wrong, as you'll get peace of mind.

Hi Emmotha,

I know it may be worrying for you, but not all things that happen to us are diabetic related, although for all of us that is probably our first thought.

I think with the numbers you have it's highly unlikely that it is, but I think that you need to go down the doctors and find out.

Do you regular check your numbers I.e. test before meals and then 2 hrs after, do you have the diabetes under control on a daily basis?
