Is Winter the problem?

Diet drinks - the artificial sweeteners taste vile.
Having to forswear foods I have loved all my life.
Trying to find low carb meals when eating out.
I'm stalled with my weight loss.

Last summer I got down to around 11 stone 10 lbs with a combination of sensible eating and lots of cycling.

Over Christmas I shout up to 12 stone 10 lbs briefly.
Now approaching the end of January and I've struggled down to 12 stone 4 lbs by being very strict about what I eat and cutting out alcohol.

I relaxed the alcohol ban over the weekend and put a pound back on.

What is different?
Well, there is less daylight time to exercise plus do everything else so my exercise has gone down, but I am eating LCHF and not as much as I used to eat when losing weight.

So - is it the reduced exercise?
Is it winter in general ( the body switching to hibernation mode)?
Or is it just my body learning to manage on less food.
The eating plan has taken me down from 12 stone 10 lbs to 12 stone 4 lbs but I just seem to be stuck here.
I spend part of each day feeling slightly hungry.
Fasting seems an option but a very unattractive one.

Anyone else also stuck over winter?

Cheers

Certainly not exercise as much will play a part as your burning calories when your active, but they do say that weight is harder to lose in the winter months than it is in the summer months.

Hmmmm...posting on the forum seems to take the weight off :)

Lost another pound this morning.

You could try 16:8, fasting 16 hours and 8 hour eating window or maybe just up the fat so you wont be hungry

I've been wondering about this too, came out of the autumn and seemed to be flattening out the weight loss, from 95 to 75kg Apr to Oct and remained on 75 kg till four weeks ago when I started lunchtime walks.... and now down to 73kg... portion control has gone out the window for evening meal as I eat just a load of veg and some meat.... never feel full... and wondering how to stop the weight loss as my BG's seem to be running a bit higher than normal...
