I don't want to get into a pointless debate about GI. Your tangent based on what I said is a not relevant. My meaning was that if and when I alter my diet I will be careful to choose the additional carbohydrates sensibly and aim for foods that don't dangerously spike blood sugars. Testing will of course be part of this process.
Has anyone throttled back to a moderately low carb diet?

@Andrew Colvin is the man you need to speak to. He seems to have found success with adding back carbs and eating "normally".

I vary my diet now though. When I am on a lose weight phase I go low carb as that works otherwise I enjoy the higher carb junk that others enjoy around me. Note my last HbA1c readings in my signature below.
