Did your HCP's not advise you on the dosage? I'm afraid no one on the forum is in a position to tell you how much insulin you should take, that is for you and your HCP's to decide.
Hi the consultant at local hospital diabetes clinic advised splitting the dose and taking 15 units in the morning and 20 units at night comparable to the 30 units of Levemir also split between morning and night. Based on information on the bovine lente from internet sites such as IDDT and others stated it lasted 24 hours and anything up to 30 hours decided to take the 30 units before bed.

Does anyone have experience of splitting bovine lente over 24 hour period and taking it morning and night?, and is it likely to be less potent than synthetic insulins and require more daily units. Taking it before bedtime, finding bs levels are likely to be high in the afternoon.
