Coffee & insulin resistance

I attended a diabetic seminar we were told that coffee and dairy products increase insulin resistance . What is your experience?

I drink 4 or 5 cups a day and eat lots of cheese and yoghurt. I don't seem to have a lot of insulin resistance these days. I wouldn't recommend adding sugar to your coffee.

I never drank coffee until about 4 years ago. Could never stand the taste. Eat very little dairy too. So that can't be the cause of my predicament.
