Announcing another epic Diabetes grand Tour! This year cycling between Vienna and Stockholm, with a ferry crossing thrown in for fun!
A cycle ride like you have never experienced, this is going to be another epic ride for those crazy enough to cycle the 2000km (just under) from Vienna to this year's EASD (European Association for the Study of Diabetes) conference venue in Stockholm. Cycle the epic, or one of the two stages and join the team on this challenge of a lifetime!
An annual event, TeamBG - a varying team of amateur cyclists with diabetes, cycle from the previous EASD professional conference venue to the next in a bid to raise awareness for diabetes, to provide an opportunity for those with diabetes to learn and share with others, to improve our understanding of exercise and diabetes through concurrent medical studies and to prove to all that diabetes cannot stop you from achieving the extraordinary.
Last year TeamBG in partnership with Imperial College London ran a medical study during the cycle ride, which meant that those taking part were able to utilise some great tech during the tour - including CGM and Powerplay pedals.
