I just opened the box up and checked the on-board system log
It had an entry in the system log dated
12th august 2014 - er0 2001

It also says I have...
Reader 2.1.2 and
Version 0.94 (seems a bit beta'ish to me not even 1.01)

Worried I have been sold OLD out of date version so I have not used up my sensor yet
My sensors have Best Before December 2015 on them though

:¬)

An entry might have been created on that date on the "master" device and then just got copied to everything that's now being manufactured.

No telling what nomenclature they use for version numbers. 0.94 could easily mean the 4th amendment to the 9th major release or just the 94th amendment.

BTW, may I ask you when you registered your interest with Freestyle, I vacillated until early February and was wondering how long I might have to wait.

Best Regards

Graham

PS I hope you get plenty of benefits, I'm hearing mostly good things about these devices.

dam it hurts :¬( 2/10 on insertion
no blood but I guess hurts means it wont work is hit some nerve or tissue :¬(

At least is not going to be as much waste of money as a navigator II if it failed on my anatomy
Born way to early wish this was the 3015 :¬)

I should have read the
http://www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/threads/freestyle-libre-on-sale.65900/page-132
posts ALL of them before I embarked on this heheh

Yes, my first one hurt and wasn't very accurate, but I've had a couple of others that hurt and were accurate, so I think whether it hurts or not is pot luck and has no bearing on its accuracy. The introducer needle is pretty big and thick, so I guess if it catches something as it goes in, it hurts. When i've had the ones that hurt, my arm has ached for a few hours after insertion and then it's been OK. For me, I would say that those that hurt are rather like having a flu jab - although I might just be namby! All mine bleed a bit, but I don't see the blood until I remove the sensor and I can then see that there had been a small amount of bleeding.

Ok stinging fading away now :¬)

Reader says...
Sensor End: 10 April 2015 13:04
Sensor Version: 222

Did 1st 3 readings and I find the Freestyle Libre to be 0.5 mmol lower than my Freestyle Lite finger prick (3 strip average)
edit: did another test 30 mins later and it was 1.2 mmol lower than (3 strip average) finger prick test

I have ordered the correct test strips for this device so it can record the values in it - have to wait a few days to get them :¬)

So far all appendages crossed... seems ok
(sure that last sentence will put the mockers on it)

I am surprised but its early days :¬)

0.5 seems fine, you could get that with testing on two different bg meters.

yep I guess its in the settling in period too as the reading on the Libre seem to be getting lower all the time ( where as my test strips are staying the same)

its now 1.2 mmol lower than pricking

ill leave it alone for a bit and stop faffing around :¬)

Yes indeed, I believe with all CGM there's a settling in period and the bg results are less reliable in the early stages.

I got an email the other-day about purchasing the Libre, still undecided to go bother or not as the feedback from users is mixed.

dam I cant stop depressing myself with this - its now reading 3.3 mmol

I phoned abbott and they didn't seem concerned

They said to ignore the readings for 24 hours - I said what that's mad
Even if that is true it means the 1st day you use the device you have to ignore it and prick your fingers instead
Kind of defeats the whole purpose

I also mentioned how can this device be taken seriously by heal care professionals if it says falsely im gong to die soon

Shame at least I didn't waste the $1000 on a Navigatore II

My sensors are usually inaccurate for the first 12-18 hours or so tbh.
Give it some time. I usually change in evening and by next morning they are good. Hope yours will be too

On the first one, most people had issues with the first 24-48 hours. it's the period in which your body is mentally making antibodies to destroy the invader. Most of us, following the first, put the second sensor on 24 hours ahead of needing it. I did this for the 2nd and 3rd. My third ended up faulty, so I had to do a sudden change and the 4th took about an hour to settle, so that's my settle time now. Start the sensor after an hour.

But if you'd read the whole Freestyle Libre for sale thread, yo'd already know this ;)

Give it a while. It may yet recover.

Thanks all MrsB and tim2000s :¬) for that info seems a good idea

Now reading 2.5mmol
is a straight line graph started at 6.0 and linear dropped to 2.5 mmol now

Have to assume its faulty and not getting any data the straight line is averaging
but ill leave it on overnight might be helpful :¬)

Contacted abbot they said give a a few more hours to see if it responds
it wont and if it did how could I trust it for the remaining 13 days

Hopefully my last sensor will work tomorrow I will update here :¬)

I will put my last one on before bed and I wont start iit up till the morning like you all suggested

Thanks have a nice evening :¬)
