Can using hand gel instead of soap affect BG readings?

I agree. Always use soap and water and if you can, dry your hands with kitchen paper rather than a contaminated towel. Wet wipes and alcohol wipes can squew your bg readings.

I am wondering if the soap bottles that I have at my sinks for washing hands alter the readings as well but as said above maybe the towels we dry our hands on is the culprit.... will get extra paper towels in to see
