6.5 fasting this morning - down from 8.2 fasting yesterday morning.
Have only been testing for 2 days as I have only recently been diagnosed with type 2.

Apologies I was latish testing today and forgot to post, but :
Fasting (Friday) : 7.0

Rest of the day still high but fairly nice and flat again:
6.8 -> 7.2, 6.8 -> 6.7

I definitely think this is where my body's most happy to be (unfortunately!)

Pleasure. We all learn from one another on here. I am trying to keep carbs down to a minimum but yes I have drifted every now and then. Not sure on the potatoes. Haven't had them at all this year but maybe someone else has and could advise? I suppose the only way to check would be to test a small amount first? I think that chap in the diet doctor link experimented with this. I shall have a look see later.

I am going to try one spoon of buttery mash... If it spikes too badly I shall kick it into touch... I have been low-carbing for 6 months and I will stay with it, but think I shall look forward to adding some carbs..

Thank you Baruney... This is a really good article... it is easy to assimilate, unlike some of the more scientific ones you plough through... Basically we should all be eating like cavemen for optimum health.. Paleo diet is perfect for diabetics - and non-diabetics - as it's very natural for humans...
