Just had a pacemaker fitted. My BGL as gone sky high, but don't want to do any corrections in case I get a bad hypo if it suddenly comes down on its own. Roll on this time next week.

I don't like to boast, but my knee . . . . . . . LOL

Very pleased that the worst bit is over and that you have many many years of regular heart beats ahead of you.

Ouch - that looks a tad sore ?
The bruising will fade .

It is a great photo reminder to look after our engine or ticker (heart)
Hope you feel much better soon and improve with this in your life .

Thoughts and best wishes - Anna29

Thank you. With me Anna, it wasn't a case of not looking after my heart. All my medical problems started after returning from the 'Gulf war' in 1991. Since then, I have had multiple heart attacks, two types of arthritis in most joints, diagnosed LADA, with bad neuropathy in both feet and hands (all ten fingertips completely numb), now registered blind (have five percent left in both eyes) plus lots of other minor ailments. In the UK, gulf war syndrome isn't recognised, so have only had treatment for the separate ailments. Even if it was, when I finally got my medical records off the MOD, there was no record whatsoever of the injections or pills given over there.

Hi, I am squeamish, but I did look:wideyed: because if you are brave enough to go through that and post it, then I would be brave too.

Take good care and good on you for such a positive attitude ps err, very rare I get to see a man's chest ;):)

Best wishes RRB

Thank you for your service.

Hope all goes well and once your body recovers from the initial inflammation and trauma from the insertion, your BS's will return to their normal.

The MoD have a lot to answer for, sneaky so an so's. Not only did you fight a war but you've fought a battle with your health too and you're still here to tell the tail. You're definitely a hero to me, keep fighting on.

I too had a pacemaker fitted end of May... just browsing & wondered how you are getting on @Pilgrim22. I've been back at work 3 wks now; working up to full time again & have a check with hospital next week. All generally OK but shoulder still feels very tight.

I'd have shown you my op but the wounds were in a slightly different place. :)

Get well soon.
