Ummm what is a 9 bar?....never heard of them
Oh my dear! My commiserations!
Don't worry - it is worth the wait. :)

http://www.9bar.com

The peanut ones (also available in Asda) are the lowest carb, I think.
Basically they are a nut and seed bar, stuck together with the merest smear of goo.
The peanut bar works out at something like 16 g carbs, but they don't usually spike people.

I go up by less than 1 mmol/l at 1 hour and then drop more at 2 hrs.

They don't agree with everyone (nothing does!) but they are good for most. And v handy in a handbag or emergency snack - or a breakfast bar...

Coffee: One cup a day between 10:00 and 11:00, 20 g ground freshly beans, filtered with not quite boiling water, 250 mls... and that's it.
Milk, cream or sugar (spit spit) is just an abomination.
In these parts Braithwaites have a stellar range of plantation coffee beans...
In My Humble Opinion.
Hmmmm.... would love a cup now but I would be up in the middle of the night... that's for sure.
Sleep well peeps.

Tuna in tins is not the same fish as you see for sale fresh. There are lots and lots and lots of different types, sizes etc of tuna, in the different oceans of the world, and some are much nicer than others.

Tins: the environment is anaerobic (without air/oxygen). You'd be safe to eat most things in tins even five years later, as long as the tin itself is not damaged.

Question:

Why is fresh tuna so expensive compared to tuna tins?
Thought I'd look at buying fresh tuna today.. Not available in many places.. But £6.99 for minute pieces in Waitose.. So why are the tins of tuna so cheap and prolific?

I hope somebody can help me as now I've got into fish I'd really like to try tuna.. Tinned fish though I just can't fathom out how they grt their long sell by dates??

I don't eat fish, so haven't tried this but have you considered frozen tuna steaks ? I lurk in the frozen fish aisle because I am a devoted handmaiden to my cats, but not so devoted that they get tuna, though the price is less than fresh ;)

Yesterday was a shocker , we had a barbeque with family and I couldn't resist the new potatoes, so am doing penance today ;)
Breakfast one boiled egg
Lunch an avocado with coleslaw
Tea will be tuna salad .

I had a barbie on Sunday, but stuck to the good stuff. Though it was pretty convenient that the hosts had laid on mostly good stuff, including bowls of seeds :) I just had to avoid the bread and the spuds and all was fine and dandy.

B: Greek yoghurt with linseed, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds...

I then went shopping. Picked up more packs of Kallo cubes (vegetable and chicken), which I'm using to combat the salt/fluid-thing that seems to be happening with LCHF. Also fresh coriander and avocado... plus some more boxes of Nairn's rough oatcakes.
