Prevent any de-hydration by remembering to drink plenty of water .

Be watchful of any alcohol intake during the heat .

Wear loose garments and layer your clothes appropriately .
If feeling too warm - check your clothing .

Do refer to your sick day rules when ill .

Make sure your insulin supplies are in a cool/dark place whilst using them .
Don't let them get over warm in a warm/hot climate .

Hello,

My name is Brooke and I am 18, I have been diabetic type 1 for about 5 years! I was just wondering if anyone on here (diabetic type 1) has been to a festival? And if you could give me some advice?? It's my first festival

My son is 9 yrs old and was diagnosed in July. He is doing great with it but I'm worried when we go abroad next month about his insulin. Has anyone used the Frio travel pen bags and if so are they any good?

I’ve used them. They are very very good.Ive had mine 10 years. I tend to put the 2 pens I’m using into a double bag and use a larger bag for the “ spare insulin.”while traveling .I always travel with twice as much insulin that I need. If you let the bags dry naturally at the end of the season you should have no problem x Just beware most folks need less insulin in a hot climate.

Anyone got any tips for camping? We're camping in France (carb capital of the world!) for 2 weeks. I'm newly diagnosed, diet controlled T2. It's my first trip away since diagnosis. Past camping trips have involved cooking a lot of pasta, rice etc! Help!!
