As a Gerrman shepherd fan I just love this; exactly what my girls would have done. They were not allowed on the furniture and were so good, always asleep on the floor when I got home. Then I got home early one day and looked in the window only to see all three asleep on the settee. They didn't see me and when I opened the door and went in they were all stretched out on the floor "asleep". Made me laugh.

Hi everyone, I was very lucky when I was diagnosed To have a brilliant GP and the surgery sisters were so helpful. I suppose I didn't have a chance as both my parents, aunts, cousins were all diabetic. Well after 17 years my diet and tablet regime ended. It was while we were on holiday with our niece that my sugars went out of control. There I was with my head virtually under the kitchen tap. When we returned home it was a quick appointment and the medication was increased. Unfortunately the bs didn't react as it should so here I am sticking needles into myself, no big deal. Also I have a very supportive family and a brilliant husband. They really look after me, especially as I also have fibromyalgia which knocks the stuffing out of me. So more humour won't go amiss, so keep up the good work. X

Hi @TrishG. This is such a tough disease. Reading through the forum posts has me thanking God that I do not suffer with associated complications like you, & many others do. If this little thread helps in any way, by bringing a smile, then I'm delighted. Laughter is a good medicine I say. My very best to you. X

Hope everyone is having a good Sunday, whatever it is you're getting up to. For me, it's a nice lazy family day. Shame it's raining as I could do with a lovely long walk down by the riverside to blow the cobwebs away. Or, should I add....a short walk for a long time. With a Bassett Hound in tow, it's his pace or no go. Lol. So many smells & distractions. They're a fun breed to own. Loving, but stubborn & a tad bonkers.

I've built up quite a collection of dog shaming pictures now. I've posted many. But, still have a few that I'd like to share. They just always make me laugh. Best wishes & good health one & all. X

A GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP

An elderly woman went to her local doctor’s office and asked to speak with her doctor. When the receptionist asked why she was there, she replied, “I’d like to have some birth control pills.”
Taken back, the doctor thought for a minute and then said, “Excuse me, Mrs. Glenwood, but you’re 80 years old. What would you possibly need birth control pills for?”
The woman replied, “They help me sleep better.”
The doctor considered this for a second, and continued… “How in the world do birth control pills help you sleep?”
The woman said, “I put them in my granddaughter’s orange juice, and I sleep better at night.” ;)

A COW WITH HORNS

"Mister, why doesn't this cow have any horns?" asked the young lady from a nearby city. The farmer cocked his head for a moment, then began in a patient tone, "Well, ma'am, cattle can do a powerful lot of damage with horns. Sometimes we keep'em trimmed down with a hacksaw. Other times we can fix up the young 'uns by puttin' a couple drops of acid where their horns would grow in, and that stops 'em cold. Still, there are some breeds of cattle that never grow horns. But the reason this cow don't have no horns, ma'am, is 'cause it's a horse.",

Your humour is jolly good. Thank you for the smiles. X

Awwww, it's sweet of you to say so @phoeberose2004. Thank you. By the way, I love your avatar picture AND if that's your real name, then it's beautiful. I have a new Niece (3 months old now) & she was named Phoebe. So pretty. I suspect that you're a dog lover. So, this ones for you. Please pop by again if you fancy a smile. X

ARRIVING AT THE PEARLY GATES.

This guy arrives at the Pearly Gates. He has to wait to be admitted, while St. Pete leafs through his Big Book. He's checking to see if the guy is worthy of entry or not. Saint Peter goes through the books several times, furrows his brow, and says to the guy, "You know, I can't see that you did lots of good in your life but, you never did anything bad either. Tell you what, if you can tell me of one REALLY good deed that you did in your life, you're in." The guy thinks for a moment and says, "Well, there was this one time when I was drivin' down the highway and I saw a Biker Gang assaulting this poor girl. I slowed down my car to see what was going on, and sure enough, that's what they were doing. There were about 50 of' em torturing this chick. Infuriated, I got out my car, grabbed a tire iron from my trunk and walked straight up to the leader of the gang. He was a huge guy with a studded leather jacket and a chain running from his nose to his ear. As I walked up to the leader, the Gang formed a circle all around me. So I ripped the leader's chain off his face and smashed him over the head with the tire iron. Then I turned around and yelled to the rest of them,' Leave this poor, innocent girl alone, you slime! You're all a bunch of sick, deranged animals! Go home before I teach you all a lesson in pain!'" St. Peter, extremely impressed, says, "Really? Wow, when did all this happen?" "Er.. about two minutes ago."
