Glass or 2 of Sauvignon Blanc

@oldsurveyor It's a steep learning curve, right? Don't worry, you're obviously determined to get there.
Sauces are always suspect. Sugar lurks everywhere, in many forms, including carbs. Cream itself is good -- hardly any carbs, plenty of fat. Double cream is even better.
I believe the blurry eyes and high sugar levels are linked. I hope never to experience either!

Yesterday was:
B: yogurt & chopped nuts, almond butter bread toasted with butter
L: cream of kale soup, sardine salad
D: asparagus omelette, cheese & olives

Today:
B: blueberries & yogurt
L: cream of kale soup, avocado, cream cheese cloud
D: having friends over - coq au chardonnay, loads of veg (rice & crusty bread for the others), low carb mocha mousse, cheese no crackers, but may have a glass of port! Should still end the day with under 50g carbs if I don’t have the port!

Lunch was a homemade frittata, with an excellent chorizo, spanish onion, cherry tomatoes and green peppers, topped with a not so excellent brie (but good enough for cooking) and finished under the grill.

Today I'm trying no carbs
I dunno that I'll be successful but it was quite embarrassing to have to have my wife drive me home last night.
I dunno what sugars were in that spinach dip but it really hit me so hard.

For breakfast my wife made scrambled eggs and bacon

She's so sweet not making biscuits and gravy for herself or fried potatoes.
Crazy how this affects the whole family.

She did a no carb breakfast with me

That's love

Updated: bacon sandwich at 3pm so 55grams carbs???

Update
Supper was pizza ( so much for no carbs)
I had a piece at 8pm and another at midnight

Try again tomorrow

Good night all

B: coffeencream
L: crustless quiche
D: lamb and aubergine curry (will do again, it was lush!) with spiced cauli rice in cream

I was trying for an 'interesting' cauli rice, but don't think i succeeded.
The whole time we were eating i was thinking 'gosh this cauli is bland, and i would kill for a bit of mango chutney'
And i dont normally think that eating curries.

How do all of you do cauli rice?

I do mine in the oven, although it sometimes gets a little toasted, which I actually quite like. Apart from occasions when I've rather over done it (and it's singed, rather than anything else!), it is very bland, but it's just a carrier really.

More often than not, I just have the curry on its own, and enjoy it just as much.

I have also done it in the wok, and cooked some prawns at the same time, as they've very quick. That I spiced with Chinese styleeeee spices to brighten it up.

I nearly always have mine fried in butter or coconut oil. With a curry I would probably add cumin, very finely chopped onion and a wee bit lemon juice when frying or sometimes I like the colour and taste of turmeric. If I do a whole cauliflower I do it in the food processor and keep it in a mason jar in the fridge for using during the week. For a single helping I hand grate what I need. Having a break from it as had too much for a while!

Where do soy products fall on the food pyramid?
Carbs?
Veggies?
Protein?
All the above?

Morning, pardon my ignorance, what is cauli rice? I'd be interested to know, I've just started to keep carbs right down, 1 and half days now, so I've a lot of learning to do. Thanks.

Cauliflower whizzed up in the food processor or grated so that it resembles the consistency of rice. Use as you would rice, stir fry, quick ping in the microwave. You can add spices to flavour for curries etc. Totally yum and much lower carb than the rice. Look up cauli mash too, its delicious
