Hi all
my DM specialist told me to change from novomix to mixtard
for my self i didn't like the pen too expensive
but i heard they are different and he told me they are same effect for my condition
is he right or what do u think

As you are a T1 is there any reason why the DM specialist hasn't put you on the Basal/Bolus (aka MDI) regime which gives the best control? As you are worried about pen costs I assume you aren't living in the UK where they are free?

I don't know if it is a global policy by Novo Nordisk or it is restricted to the UK but Novo appear to be withdrawing Mixtard (or at least heavily promoting the use of Novomix as an alternative.)

They are not the same - Humulin M3 seems to be closest match to Mixtard. Hopefully this will help you in some way................
