    C-Peptide and Insulin Tests

Those who have had these tests, were they performed fasting or non-fasting? Everything I read states non-fasting, however my doctor asked me to eat a carb rich diet prior to testing, which I did. Would this not skew the results?

Thanks you guys are so sweet. I appreciate your comments as I know you guys get it and I don't feel completely ridiculous sharing my feelings here. I tested 1 hour later after not eating and it was 8.7. It was 6.9 before bed. I think I did this to myself, I need to find the correct dosage of...

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

8.5 and shocked, two weeks of 5's and 6's during Christmas when I wasn't low carbing like I am now, I wasn't crazy but I was more relaxed. I reduced my dosage of metformin from 2000 mg to 1000 mg on Monday after I isolated this to be the cause of my constant flank pain. With 5's-7's consistent...

Hi LADA's..I hope to confirm 100% that I am indeed part of this club next week as I had all the tests last week. I have hashimotos and last year my endocrinologist sent me on three different occasions to have needle biopsies. All three times I was told different reasons for not doing the...

    Not one but three questions..

Hi Phonenix.. Yes, that is what I want, a dumbed down understanding of the data. This is what I found, what I was trying to determine if I can figure the type of d based on my SNP results, specifically LADA. rs9272346(A;A) rs7903146 (C;T) rs7574865 (G;T) rs1801282 (C;G)<which tells me to watch...

    Not one but three questions..

Last night I was reflecting on the last three evenings after dinner readings of 8.3, 10.2 (most likely higher at 3 hours post meal but I didn't check) and last night at 3 hours, 12.8. I manage to keep my BS very even all day in the 5-6's, as I really am conscious of the carbs I ingest, plus I...

    Bedtime readings

10.2..not sure what the culprit was, I had a sugar free Russell Stover candy a few hours before, when I read the number I reviewed the carbs/sugars content again and googled sugar alcohol..doesn't appear to be an issue, so who knows! Normally I am in the 6's.
